In the newsPro Stock Motorcycle racer and Bonneville land speed record holder Valerie Thompson was featured in an issue of Scottsdale Health, a fitness and lifestyle magazine based in her hometown of Scottsdale, Ariz. Thompson is featured on the cover alongside her six-second Pro Stock Motorcycle Buell and in a three-page feature entitled "Built for Speed." In the article, Thompson describes how she uses diet and exercise to help improve her riding skills. Thompson sat out the 2009 season but returned to Bonneville in search of additional records and made numerous appearances, including a highprofile assignment at the annual Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale. She is hoping to put together a program that will allow her to return to Pro Stock Motorcycle competition this season.
