ALL THE BEST SHOWS HAVE DONE ONE: HOUSE, THE SOPRANOS, THE SIMPSONS, BATTLESTAR

Galactica... Taking Da Vinci's famous mural of The Last Supper and replacing Jesus and his disciples with Tony Soprano and his disciples etc.. Well, they've only gone and done it for Lost, currently unravelling what is surely TV's tightest-ever knot on Sky.

As with all Lost paraphernalia, the leagues of inter-web puzzlers got to work immediately deciphering its painterly giggle... Why's Locke in the Messiah's seat? How come Kate's position tallies with Judas'? And still no Walt? But while Season 6 busily addresses all those unanswered questions (like where the hell are all the other Survivors, as opposed to the surviving Others?), we look to the future.

We'll leave the final analysis for a future issue (working feature title 'Still Lost?'). Naturally, the complete Blu-ray box set (out in August) will allow you to watch the whole shooting match over again. No word yet on extras, but who's up for a full, no-excuses, join-the-dots commentary from series bedevillers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof? Although, as Lindelof recently told Entertainment Weekly, "We might not tell you what the numbers mean, but we have every intention of telling you whether or not humanity is essentially good or evil." Right, thanks.

Lost: Season 6 is currently airing on Friday nights at 9pm on Skyl and Skyl HD.
