Tommy Johnson Jr. scored two victories March 19 at Yas Drag Centre behind the wheel of his Yas Marina Circuit Top Fuel dragster at the inaugural Yas Drag Festival, and teammate Rod Fuller came back to win two matches the following day. Fuller also made two of the three quickest runs at the event, 3.893 and 3.898, to just edge Johnson's best of 3.899. Both drivers ran 499 kph (310 mph) at the spectacular new facility in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Complete coverage of the Yas Marina grand opening will be featured in next week's issue.
