The hats and handbags of PHILIP TREACY, milliner extraordinaire
Treacy's 1991 graduation show from London's Royal College of Art caused such a fashion sensation that soon after establishing his own company that same year, he also started his collaboration with designer Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel. To date, Treacy has designed hats for other haute couture houses including: Givenchy, Alexander McQueen, Valentino and Versace. Between the years 1991-1997. Treacy won the title of Accessory Designer of the year' at the British Fashion Awards five times. Actress Sarah Jessica Parker wore one of Treacy's hats to the London opening of her 2008 film, Sex and the City.

Flamenco Talk presents Estaciones
The Louisville-based flamenco company Flamenco Talk celebrates the seasons of the soul with the premiere of its new production Estaciones (Seasons). This production is a culmination of a year-long collaboration with Antonio Granjero, one of the world's celebrated flamenco artists. Granjero conceived and choreographed this production, which is described in the press releases as a spiritual journey that takes us from the nostalgia and exasperation of Autumn to the rejuvenation of Spring. In addition to the Jerez-born Granjero, who will codirect and star in the show, the production will feature an international cast of musicians and dancers including: gypsy singer-percussionist Francisco Orozco "Yiyi',' dancer (and one of the directors of Flamenco Talk) Mariya Tarakanova, and guitarists Brent Del Bianco and Ricardo Anglada.

Attend an Art Fair, or Two

The Most Famous People in the World: Karsh 1OO Speed Art Museum
This exhibition presents iconic portraits of many of the 20th-century 's most famous people taken by world-renowned photographer Yousuf Karsh (1908-2002). "The minute saw this exhibition on its international tour in Seoul, South Korea, I knew the Louisville public would love it," said Dr. Charles L. Venable, Director of the Speed Art Museum.
