Dr. Harry and Wendy Lessig of Huntingdon Valley announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachael Judith, to Joshua Daniel Israel, son of Larry and Judy Israel of Springfield, Va.

Rachael, who attended Lower Moreland High School, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biopsychology at Muhlenberg College in Allentown. She also holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Arcadia University in Glenside, and completed work toward a pediatrie physical therapy fellowship at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore. Rachael specializes in pediatrie physical therapy working at P.A.C.T., which is affiliated with Kennedy Krieger Hospital and Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.

Joshua, a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, attended Virginia Tech, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering. He holds a master's degree in engineering from the University of Maryland in Baltimore County, and a Masters of Business Administration degree from New York University. Josh works for the Department of Defense in Maryland.

Joshua is the grandson of Paul and Edel Fischer of Sydney, Australia; and Victor and Fran Israel of Garden Grove, Calif. Rachael is the granddaughter of the late Dr. Philip and Ruth Lessig of Waterford Works, N.J.; and Joseph and Edith Jennings of Long Branch, N.J.

The couple, who recently purchased a home in Lutherville, Md., is planning a Memorial Day 2011 weekend wedding in Philadelphia.

ROSENWALD-HALE

Mr. and Mrs. Jon Rosenwald of Doylestown announce the engagement of their daughter, Shana Leigh Rosenwald, to Edward Hale, son of Barbara Hale of New York, N. Y, and the late Nathan Hale.

Shana graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She is a senior graphics designer at Better Homes and Gardens magazine.

Edward graduated from the New York University Gallatin School of Individualized Study with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in industrial design from the Pratt Institute.

Shana is the granddaughter of Vivian Bergman of Boynton Beach, FIa., and the late Carl Bergman; and the late Daniel Clearfield. She is also the granddaughter of Blossom Rosenwald and the late David Rosenwald. Edward is the grandson of the late Lilian and Nathan Hale, and the late Dr. L. Herbert Skluth and Emelie Skluth.

The couple, who will be living in New York, is planning an August 2010 wedding at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

REUNIONS

A "Picnic in the Park" reunion is planned for Sunday, June 27, for those growing up in Logan, Olney, Mount Airy or West Oak Lane in the 1950s and 1960s. For more information, e-mail: jspiano @verizon.net.

Beverly and Martin Zeises celebrated their 60th-wedding anniversary on June 18 with their children, Debbie Kaplan, Richard and Andrea Zeises, and their six grandchildren.

Dr. Lainee (nee Rosen) and Mark Levinton, along with big brother Dorey MitcheU, announce the birth of their son and brother, Braden Mattew (Dov Moshe Sar), on Oct. 5, 2009.

Sharing in their joy are grandparents Vicki Frank and Janet and Michael Levinton, along with great-grandmother Arline Frank.

The baby is also the greatgrandson of the late Harry Levinton, Dorothy Levinton and Dr. Michael Pilpel.

Braden Mattew is named in loving memory of his maternal great-grandfather Barnet Frank; his maternal great-great-grandfather M. Robert Eason; and his paternal great-grandmother Lottie Pilpel.
