BUNNY & THE BULL

My first problem with this film (written and directed by Mighty Boosh director Paul King): It's a road movie (we need to find a way to kill this kind of narrative form always and forever). My second problem: It's a poor man's Michel Gondry (meaning, it's bargainbasement surrealism). My third problem: It should not have run longer than 20 minutes (at this point, the special effects-the only good thing about this movie-begin to lose their battle against the deadening force of the boring story about two mates journeying across Europe). Much of this movie is British humor running on an empty tank of gas. (CHARLES MUDEDE) Northwest Film Forum, Thurs Sept 23 at 7 pm.
