Nice for Nina
Thanks so much for putting Nina Dobrev on your October/November cover. She's an amazing actress and a great role model, too.

I've been reading Girls' Life for years and love all the celebrity interviews. Out of all of them, your one with Nina Dobrev in October/November was by far the best. Nina wasn't afraid to make it clear that she was an average American teen. She didn't care about fitting in, which made me respect her that much more. I think more stars should be like her and stand up for what they believe in.

All for Allstar
I love Alistar Weekend! Thank you so, so much for putting them in your mag [What's Hot, O/N '10]. I met them a few nights ago and they are so nice.

Fab Friendship
I loved your article "Mad Friendship Maintenance" [O/N '1O]. My BFF and I have been pals since kindergarten, but now we're in different schools. Being apart has actually made our bond stronger. We text and call and when we do hang out, it's even more special.

Hair-ific Tips
The October/November "GZ/s Huge Hair Blowout" [Hair, O/N '10] story was really great. I look at it every day before school to get ideas.
- Waneeza
I was totally bored with my hair. I have long, curly locks that I'd normally just wear down. Now, because of "GL's Huge Hair Blowout," I have new cute and fun ways to wear it. Thanks, GL.

Nailed It!
I loved last issue's manicure tips [Your Perfect Nails, O/N '1O]. My nail polish has never stayed on longer. And the color ideas were awesome. I'm planning on trying them all.

What a Crash
I was disappointed with "A Crash Course in Fall Fashion" [O/N '1O]. The outfits are too wild for most readers and I find it hard to see any of the pieces as realistic. I am not saying that GL is bad with fashion, I would just like to see you feature more relatable choices.
- Taylor
I really didn't understand the fashion story this past issue. I can't think of anyone who would wear those outfits to school, much less out of the house. Please keep that in mind next time.

Hey Taylor and Erin,
Here at GL we try to feature a wide range of fashion, from edgy night-out looks to get-ups that are great for school (seepage 22 for some super-coxy picks) . We want to inspire every girl to look and feel her best, whether she's shopping on a budget, seeking the best clothes for her shape or looking to craft some serious personal style. Occasionally, a story might not vibe with your taste, but that's why there's plenty of fashion pages to flip through.
Just Veggin'
Thank you so much for putting in "The Best Way to Veg Out" [GZ/s Get Fit Fast, O/N '10]. I became a vegetarian about six months ago. I'd love if you could please include more vegetarian-friendly recipes in the future.

No Sugar Added
I was quite pleasantly surprised with the October/November issue. Finally, everything wasn't sugar-coated. This is the way GL should be. Keep it up!

Letter of the Month
Want a pen pal? Check out page 6 and you couid end up like these new besties, Ashley and Darby.
In August 2009, Ashley and I both applied for pen pals through GL For the entire school year, we stayed in touch through the ups and downs of eighth grade. It was nice for both of us to have a long-distance friend to confide in with our problems.
This past March, we started making plans to meet in person (having already determined neither of us were Internet predators or anything like that!).
In August, Ashley, her mom and little sister met my mom and me at the beach. We ail had such a great time and hope to now make this an annual event.
Ashley and I have made a lifelong friendship and we intend to keep in touch for the rest of our lives. This experience was awesome, fun and all thanks to a pen pal ad in GL magazine.
