Despite the snow in this photograph, Mennonite Church Alberta's Camp Valaqua is putting the finishing touches on a new permanent staff residence at its Water Valley location. The need for it was recognized more than 15 years ago, and the project is finally nearing completion. Funds raised through donations and annual hike-athon and banquet events amount to approximately $1 70,000, enough to pay for the house as well as landscaping deck and garage that are yet to be added.
