ALLMAYER-CALEM
Bernie and Eileen Allmayer of Norristown, and Dr. Arthur and Ronnie Calem of East Brunswick, N.J., announce the engagement of their children, Julie Helene Allmayer and Dr. Ben B. Calem.
Julie is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and Near Eastern studies. She also holds a Master of Education degree in higher education from Harvard University. Julie is an online learning support specialist at Drexel University
Ben graduated from the College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry. He earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he also completed a residency in periodontics. Ben currently practices in Moorestown and Medford, N.J.
Julie is the granddaughter of Beatrice Singer of Mount Laurel, N.J., and the late Charles Litvin; and the late Arthur and Meta Allmayer. Ben is the grandson of Beatrice Wolfe of Monroe, N.J., and the late Joseph Wolfe; as well as the late Bernard and Sophie Calem.
Sharing in the couple's joy are Julie's sister, Andrea; and Ben's sister and brother-in-law, Lindsey Calem-Jutkowitz and Shmuel Jutkowitz; along with his brother, Shelly.
The couple, who met through JDate, is planning a spring 2012 wedding.

ROSNER-HANDFINGER
Dr. Michael and Sherry Rosner of Huntingdon Valley, and Arthur and Myra Handfinger of Havertown announce the engagement of their children, Rachel Rosner and Scott Handfinger.
Rachel graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in hearing and speech sciences. She also holds a master's degree in speech and language pathology from Temple University. Rachel is a speech pathologist at Aria Hospital in Philadelphia.
Scott graduated cum laude from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and a Certificate in Information Technology Specialization. He is director of event marketing and sales for Feld Entertainment in Philadelphia.
Rachel is the granddaughter of Evelynn Rosner and the late Dr. Albert Rosner; and the late May Adler, Rebecca Adler and Sidney Adler. Scott is the grandson of Sylvia Gomberg and the late Herman Gomberg; and the late Shirley and Samuel Handfiriger.
Sharing in the couple's happiness are Rachel's sister and brother-in-law, Samantha and Brett Braterman, along with nephew Scott Braterman;* and Scott's sister, Rachel.
The couple, who lives in Center City, is planning a March wedding in Philadelphia.

Mitchell and Amy Katz of Bensalem announce the engagement of their daughter, Melanie Joy Katz, to Jarad Lon Silverstein, son of Harvey and Adrienne Silverstein of Philadelphia.
Melanie graduated summa cum laude from Towson University with a degree in law and American civilization. She also holds a Juris Doctorate from the Villanoya University School of Law, and is licensed to practice law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey
Jarad graduated from George Washington University with a degree in international business and earned a Juris Doctorate from the Widener Law School. He is an attorney with Parker McCay P.A., in Marlton, N.J.
Joining in the couple's joy are Melanie's brother, Jordan Katz; and Jarad's sister, Jaime Silverstein.
Melanie is the granddaughter of Greta Ludwig and the late Melvin Ludwig; and Phyllis Katz , and the late Leonard Katz. Jarad is the grandson of the late Philip *and Annette Tregob; and the late Martin Silverstein and the late Eleanor Slutsky.
The couple, who lives in South Philadelphia, is planning a November wedding.

Barbara Newman of Dresher and Vincent DiGian Jr. of Bryn Mawr announce the engagement of their daughter-, Robin Jennifer Newman, to Christopher Michael Merrion. son of Lucy and Michael Men-ion of Denver.
Robin graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh. She also holds a Master of Science degree in applied mathematics from the University of Colorado in Boulder. Robin is a software engineer at Strategic Pricing Associates, Inc.
Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the University of Colorado. He is currently senior vice president of operations infrastructure at a web start-up company.
Robin and Chris met in Boulder while they were both working for Eclipse.

Barbara and Louis Yudkovitz of Philadelphia announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Rachel, to Eric Brian Rubin, son of Sheri and Fred Rubin of Holland, Pa.
Stephanie is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology She attends Rutgers University, where she will earn a Master of Science degree in biology this May. Stephanie works at the Charles River Laboratories in Malvern.
Eric graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. He holds a law degree from the Penn State University Dickinson School of Law. Eric, who also earned a master's degree in tax law from New York University, is an attorney with a Philadelphia law firm.
Stephanie is the granddaughter of the late Freda and Samuel Tabackin; and the late Kathryn and Samuel Yudkovitz. Eric is the grandson of Lillian Libby Lundy and the late Jerry Lundy; and the late Robert and Sydney Rubin.
