LUCAS OIL RACEWAY AT INDIANAPOLIS, Indianapolis (June 18) - A points-paying race took to the track, including a group of young racers participating in the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League Challenge.

Collin Richardson had a lightning-fast reaction time of .027, allowing him to overcome red-lighting competitor Donovan Bolding in the Jr. Major class.

Cory Adams captured the Wally in Jr. Minor with a .115 reaction time and a 9.960 over runner-up Kristen Locke, who had a .189 light and ran a 9.030.

"Winning feels great," said Adams. "I have been racing for five years, and I can't wait to one day get in my dad's dragster, which is sitting in the garage waiting for me."

Other event winners were Greg Dillman (Pro), Aaron Vail (Super Pro), Joseph Boyden (VP Pro), and Ellis V. Buth (Sportsman).

"I'd like to thank my mom and dad and my little brother for helping me throughout the years," stated Buth. "Today, winning took a lot of luck, not so much skill. I had lucky rounds and a few breakages against, but a win is still a win."
