Each year, From the Top and the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation choose approximately 25 exceptional pre-collegiate musicians with financial need for the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award. In the past six years, From the Top and the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation have awarded more than $1.4 million to deserving young musicians.

Scholarship benefits include an appearance on From the Top's radio or television broadcasts; up to $10,000 in financial support to be applied to instrument and equipment purchase and/or music program tuition and travel expenses; and participation in From the Top's Arts Leadership Program.

Application postmark deadlines for 2011-2012 are December 1, 2011, and February 1, 2012.
