EVEHT: The inaugural Charlie Awards, an Oscarstyle awards ceremony honoring chefs, servers, and restaurateurs, was on November 20 at the Pantages Theater.

AND THE AWARD GOES TO.. FOX 9 alum Robyne Robinson emceed the event, and presenters included Andrew Zimmern, Minneapolis mayor R.T. Rybak, hotshot bartenders Pip Hanson and Dan Oskey, and Minnesota Monthly dining critic Darà Moskowitz Grumdahl.

BE OUR OUEST: Entertainment included musical numbers from Erin Schwab and Davina and the Vagabonds, plus a surprise appearance from the ghost of JuUa Child.

HOBNOB: After the show, the party spilled into the IDS Center's Crystal Court, where guests sipped cocktails and ate hors d'oeuvres prepared by students of the area's culinary schools.
