WHADDYA SAY, FERNET?

The argument about Fernet Branca-the strange and popular Italian bitter and aperitif-came up over and over this past week. Does it really help a bellyache? Can it really cure your hangover? The biggest argument: Should it be pronounced like the French do, "Fer-nay" like "toupee" or singer "Sade"? Or should it be like the Italians say it, "Fer-net" like "baguette"?
