Leupold & Stevens

Adds National Accounts Manager

Leupold has hired Janos Jeszenszky to be its national accounts manager. Jeszenszky will manage several key accounts, and will provide direction and guidance for many facets of Leupold's sales and merchandising at the retail level.

Prior to joining Leupold, Jeszenszky served as a store manager and a product manager for a major camera retailer, and a new accounts manager at an optics company. He also spent several years working as a sales manager for a major Americanbased optics manufacturer.

Jeszenszky graduated from California State University at Long Beach, where he earned a bachelor's degree in journalism.

Swanson Russell

Hires Personnel

Swanson Russell has added Sam Larson, Brandon Murray and Aaron Jarzynka to their media team. They will work out of the Lincoln, Neb., office.

Larson, an account manager, joins the agency for a second time. He received a bachelor's degree in advertising from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). Larson returns to Swanson Russell from a marketing coordinator position at Complete Nutrition in Omaha, Neb. He also worked as a marketing associate for UNL's Extended Education and Outreach program. As an account manager, Larson will work on the Rain Bird and Otis Technology accounts.

Murray serves as a production artist. Prior to joining the agency, he worked for UNL's Student Involvement as a senior graphic designer, and interned with Local Hero Design in Lincoln. Murray holds a bachelor's degree in fine art with an emphasis in graphic design from UNL.

Jarzynka joins the agency as an associate interactive designer. He previously worked as an interactive designer at Local Hero Design and as an adjunct professor at UNL. Jarzynka received a bachelor's degree in fine arts with an emphasis in graphic design from UNL.

Hawke Sport Optics

Names Southeast Reps

Hawke Sport Optics has selected Jim Graham and Joel Smith as sales reps to eight states in the Southeast.

Graham formerly was a salesman with Parker, Russell Outdoors and Bear Archery. He will provide support to Hawke customers in North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee.

Smith brings his experience from Bass Pro Shops, Bangers Distributors and other major retailers to the dealers of Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi.

Sturm, Ruger & Co.

Appoints Sales Executives

Sturm, Ruger & Co. has made several key senior-level appointments to the sales staff.

Randell Pence, former executive director of sales, is relocating to the Nashville, Term., area to be the newly appointed senior sales executive. In his new role, he will focus on the sale of Ruger firearms at the retail level in Kentucky, Tennessee and Arkansas. Ruger will continue to utilize Pence's industry experience and expertise as an integral part of Ruger 's new product development process.

Shawn Leska, former national sales manager, has been promoted to director of sales. He has held several key roles during his 22 years at Ruger. In his new position, Leska will continue to focus on the growth of distributor sales, as well as the coordination of Ruger's overall sales effort.

Robert "RG" Stitt, former regional sales manager of Mid-Atlantic states for Ruger, has been promoted to national sales manager. He is a longtime industry veteran, having held many sales roles at the retail, wholesale and manufacturer levels. In his new role, Stitt is responsible for all regional sales management, with a focus on growing sales and shelf space at the retail level.

"I want to thank Randell for his leadership over the years. His guidance and enthusiasm have been fundamental elements of Ruger's recent sales success. I also want to congratulate Shawn and RG on their well-deserved promotions," said Chris Killoy, vice president of sales and marketing.

Carl Zeiss Sports Optics

Expands Regional Sales

Carl Zeiss Sports Optics has hired Kevin Winscher as its Eastern region sales manager. Winscher will assume responsibility for all sales in the Eastern part of the U.S., with the Mike Wieck Sales and Murski Breeding Sales organizations reporting to him.

Prior to joining Zeiss, Winscher was associate sales rep with the Freedom Group.

As part of its continued restructuring, Zeiss has also given additional responsibility to its Western region sales manager, Barton Dobbs. He will manage the Western 13 states, as well as Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin. He will primarily work with Total Sports Marketing, but will also work with the Mike Wieck Sales organization in the upper Midwest area.

Colt Defense

Appoints Board Member

Colt Defense LLC has appointed retired U.S. Army Gen. George W Casey Jr. to its governing board.

Casey served as chief of staff of the Army for four years, from April 2007 to April 2011. Prior to that, he was commander of the multinational force in Iraq from July 2004 to February 2007. His Army career spanned 41 years.

"His (Gen. Casey's) experience and success as a military leader in the most challenging and complex environments make him an ideal person to contribute to our strategic planning, business execution and overall corporate governance," said Gerald Dinkel, president and CEO of Colt Defense LLC.
