First UK network for autism professionals
The National Autistic Society (NAS) has launched Network Autism, a new online community that will connect autism professionals across a host of disciplines, including the social care sector. Children with a Parent in Prison: Impact, Issues, Practice and Policy
Approximately 160000 children have a mother or father in prison in the UK. This conference brings together researchers, policy-makers, practitioners, children and families to explore the issues in depth. The conference will be held 9.30am-4-30pm on Monday 2 April 2012. Children who go missing from care
Two groups of Parliamentarians have joined forces to launch an inquiry into support for children who go missing from care every year. The APPG would like to hear from children and young people with experiences of being looked-after and running away or going missing, local authority children's services, voluntary organisations, police, fostering organisations and any other interested organisations.
