Long before these drivers became Pros, they competed in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. Here are the 10 best Sportsmen who are racing in the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series.

1 Jeg Coughlin Jr.

The four-time Pro Stock world champ is such a great Sportsman racer that he continues to do it in multiple classes and scores wins regularly, including the Top Dragster title at the 2011 JEGS NHRA Pacific SPORTSnationals presented by K&N Filters.

2 Shawn Langdon

The two-time Super Comp champ and current Top Fuel driver also continues to race in a variety of Sportsman classes.

3 Greg Stanfield

Before moving to Pro Stock, his résumé was already impressive with four Super Stock national championships. He has also logged victories in Stock, Comp, and Pro Stock Truck.

4 Jack Beckman

He won the national championship in Super Comp before getting a chance to hit the big time in a nitro car. As a driving instructor, he has also taught many the finer points of Sportsman racing.

5 Larry Morgan

Before he became one of Pro Stock's most respected drivers and engine builders, Morgan was known to have the "eye of the tiger" for his prowess behind the wheel of a variety of Comp and Super Stock cars

6 Jason Line

Most fans know him for his two Pro Stock championships, but he actually has three world titles; he also won the 1992 Stock title. His whole family, including parents and brothers, are still active in Stock.

7 Mike Edwards

Because he has been racing in Pro Stock for nearly two decades, most fans might not realize that he has a solid history of Sportsman racing that includes the last Modified championship in 1981.

8 Rod Fuller

He had a solid track record in Super-class racing before making the move to Top Fuel. His brother and father are also accomplished Sportsman drivers.

9 Erica Enders

She made a natural progression from Jr. Dragster to Super Comp and Super Gas to Pro Stock. Along the way, she picked up a ton of trophies, including a Super Gas Wally.

10 Alexis DeJoria

When she scored her first NHRA national event title in Super Comp at the JEGS NHRA Pacific SPORTSnationals presented by K&N Filters, who knew that six years later she'd be one of the sport's most promising nitro racers?
