For the sixth straight year, Rabbi Dan Ehrenkrantz, president of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Wyncote, was included on the Newsweek/ Daily Beast list of America's top 50 rabbis.

This year, Ehrenkrantz came in at No. 15; last year, he was 16.

The editors stated that Ehrenkrantz "carries the torch for selfcritical, nuanced Judaism." He's also credited with leading the institution on a successful $50 million fundraising campaign.

In 2002, the 1989 RRC graduate was named the school's fifth president.

Four other RRC graduates were included on the list, though none work locally.

Topping the list was Rabbi David Wolpe, the son of Rabbi Gerald Wolpe, the late rabbi emeritus of Har Zion Temple in Penn Valley.

The Conservative leader edged out last year's top name, Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, a leader of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement.
