The Top Sportsman results from the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Virginia Motorsports Park in Richmond, Va., were incorrectly reported. Mark Payne wheeled his '06 Cavalier to victory in the class, winning a thrilling dead-heat final round against John Taylor's '99 Dakota. In the final, Taylor, far lane, got the slight advantage on the starting line, .036 to .043, but Payne was able to run right on his 7.02 dial to edge out Taylor's 7.54 (7.53 dial). Both Payne and Taylor put together .049- second packages, but when the computer went out to the 10- thousandth digit, Payne was determined the winner.
